Default Eagle Squadron?

Hi, I picked up this badge recently and wondered if it was a fake or an officer's insignia, thanks in advance Mike

I think this is a repro. I have an original on wool which most were rather than barathea.

But the fine details, such as the lightening bolts, claws etc are not fine enough. The thread used looks to be thick and matt in colour, as many of the recent Indian/Pakistani repros are (almost like string) rather than the soft silk of the originals which has a sheen, resulting in the thread standing rather proud of the backing material (see the 'E.S.).

Additionally, there are patches of off-colour, around the centre of the wings, bottom of the lightening bolts etc, which is not uniform across the whole badge as if its been artificially aged.

I'd like to see the reverse, but am not sold on the front.

As SAS1 indicates, the back of cloth badges tell more about authenticity than the obverse. Would be helpful to see the back.
Lots of copies of this badge out there.
