New (non badge) Project
Hi Gents,
Disclaimer; If you find firearms offensive PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS THREAD or add any comments. This is posted in the 'Off Topics' section for a reason. Thank You and yes I know this is a badge forum but the 'off topic' section is here for a reason. However, I have had a great many forum members and friends enquiring why I'm selling off some of my badge collections, so I thought I would share a little post on this topic. Like many I have found that due in part to the increase in prices I just can't afford everything I want, so at the end of last year I decided to make some tough choices. I'm still keeping a couple of my collections going but have found that my Militia Button collection has brought me so much joy over the last couple of years, I really want to put more focus on that collection. This is one reason I am parting with some badges. The other reason however and specifically why I sold my Boer War badge collection was to fund the purchase of a new firearm. I'm thrilled to say that the sale of this collection more than paid for this project, so I was able to also put some funds to buttons too.... Thank you to all made purchases and I know these great badges have found wonderful homes in your collections. So many of you have asked what firearm did I purchase? Well it is my take on a perfect (if there is such a thing) home defence gun. As an Englishman living in the US, I'm fortunate enough to enjoy the freedoms we have over here. I put my order in some time back and shortly after selling my Boer War badge collection and I have just heard from the company that it is finished and has been shipping. Okay, so I forget to tell you what it is - it is a Robinson Arms XCR in calibre 300 Blackout. It has a folding brace (although it looks like a stock) which classifies it as a pistol, this means it can have a short barrel (7.5" in this case) and it can also travel with me if needed. The company was kind enough to take a photo for me prior to shipping (see attached and shown without the 30rd magazine inserted), so I thought I would share it here. I'm looking forward to picking this up next week and seeing how it goes at the range but for now chaps and to answer the questions - this is what some of the funds went to. Cheerio, Roy

A penis enlargement would probably be cheaper.

Thanks Gents,
Yes Simon a 'pistol' it is. If it had a stock (instead of a 'brace') it would be classed as an SBR (short barreled rifle) which would come with some restrictions and a load of paperwork. In this form it is just classified as a pistol, so if covered by my concealed carry permit and can travel with me across most state lines. Cheers, Roy
