A Signals Badge Frame
I put this in the Australian section because that is where I am, but the badges are not of course all Australian.
Top two rows are obviously shoulder titles which I vowed not to collect. (But I weakened.) Next row are all Australian Signals Badges. Underneath that are mostly Rhodesian/Zimbabwe, with some Transkei and South African. Bottom row is all South African, with 1st Signal Regiment, 2nd Signal Regiment, 3rd Electronic Workshop, and 2 different 4th Electronic Workshop Shields. Before anyone starts sending me messages, there are some photos of badges that I do not have, but want. One I may never ever see because there is some conjecture whether it even exists. There are some blank spaces in the frame, reserved for badges I have yet to find. Lastly I have constructed the frame so as I can revisit it, the clusters of badges are on individual cards and are removable, each card is fixed with velcro. When and if I obtain the badges that I seek I will be able to add them to the frame. |

Hey Phil
That's a great display, it makes mine look a bit ordinary. Well done mate. Phil. |

Well done Phil.
Hope you don't run out of wall space like I am. Cheers Chris |

The shoulder title BURMA SIGNALS. is a real treasure. I think it might date from that strange period of a couple of years after VE/VP Day when the UK seriously imagined it was going to reassume control over Burma. Mike

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks, I am still on the job as I have Canadian, British, more South African and Asian also New Zealand badges to frame yet. (All Signals).
Chris, I am in fact running out of wall space, so instead of having these in their individual frames I went for a big frame. This one is 4' x 16". I am building another the same size. Phil. |
