HI good evening , interesting item?

my pure guess work is this

M.T may well stand for ` MOUNTED TROOPS` rather than MOTOR TRANSPORT but that is just a guess........ if it were Motor transport I would have expected another letter on the end such as Motor transport / SECTION / UNIT / VEHICLE ? just MT doesnt sound complete to me thats presuming it is military Even items like this should have a broad arrow WD marking on the bottom .

It may well be civillian example and the shell dressing may have just been added to the houses first aid kit by the returning soldier ?????

Some one out there will know exact what it is , nice item
