Hi Billy,

I can't see why you couldn't post images of items in a shop, if they are your pictures.

Phil

The kukri is of World Wide Arms origin and is only about 10-15 years old.

Thanks Billy,

I think the FS Knife is a poor quality fairly modern one by John Nowill & Sons and as stated above the Kukri is not what it seems regarding the date stamp. Also the brass bolster and hilt rings should be in steel. I quite like the scabbard and frog though.

Jack.

The book "British and Commonwealth Military Knives" by Ron Flook, also the following website www.gotavapen.se/market/index.php will have all that you need Swende, and more. Regards, Clive.

hi billy, as an unwritten rule a gurkha soldier isnt allowed to pull his kukri from its sheath without drawing blood, i hope that you sucsessfully nicked yourself with this kukri without losing any fingers, (they are usually very sharp!) otherwise we may have to send the forum nurses round. regards john
