Default Unidentified cloth formation badge

This badge turned up recently whilst staff in Wrexham Museum were sorting through some mis-labelled items.

I'm presuming it's a British RA sleeve/formation badge. Does anyone here recognise it?

Cheers,

Chris

And one of the few that come in matching pairs.

Chris,

This has a bearing on something I have always wondered, I know the Kings Liverpool Regiment collection has a lot of badges ( obviously not on display ) that they have been given over the years that have nothing at all to do with the Kings Regiment.

Seeing that the Wrexham Museum has a formation sign in its collection that has an association with Newcastle under Lyme, do most museums have large amounts of material in their reserve collections that have nothing to do with the area in which they are located or the themes of their normal displays ?

P.B.

Peter, on a similar note, The Norfolk museum service had a load of cloth army badges once owned by Mr Wareing, but they were not kept with all the other army stuff at the Norfolk regt museum. When they joined forces they got lost
