I did think that Leigh.

As with the cloth cap badge booklet I'd be relying on members to supply pics as I only have a few with backings on.

Hi Bill, I think it is a great idea and will be happy to send pics. The only problem I can see is the amount of unofficial backings used for a short period of time, and if anyone knows what they are, but sounds like it could be fun, best wishes Mike

I think you should show actual badges with the backings on if you can. Please include a section on the confusing issue of which Scottish regiments wore which tartan backings It still seems to provoke questions here.

I'm assuming that by backings you're going to include various hackles etc.

Thanks David,

I was thinking maybe the backing and the backing with badhe on if possible.

I have a chart that I made regarding tartan flashes, if you are interested please let me know your email address.

Regards, Bill

Hi Peter,
That looks like an RAOC patch to me which I think does not go with the badge,
Now if it was an RA patch behind the KLR badge I would get excited and suggest 101st Light Anti Aircraft Regiment (12th Bn KLR) because as the image I have posted shows the KORL converted RA- Bn wore the Lion Passant (probably a collar) on the RA patch.
