Major Hankin-Turvin Trucial Oman Levies
I believe the photo attached is of Major Hankin-Turvin of the Trucial Oman Levies. He is wearing the headdress badge of the Jordanian Arab Legion as he served in that Army before becoming the first British officer of the Trucial Oman Levies, later known as the Trucial Oman Scouts. I would be keen to know if this is in fact Maj Hankin-Turvin and not some other well known British officer in the Arab Legion.
