Default East Yorkshire Regiment Officers Hat Badge

Good day folks

I believe this to be an officers cap badge. Made by Gaunt. One lug has been repaired. Am I correct in assuming that it is an officer's badge?

Many thanks

James

Once again, a 'staff badge' James and originally worn by officers and battalion HQ SNCOs (although rarely seen on the SNCOs after 1902 and after 1915 WO2 and above only).

Thanks everyone for your comments. Lots of new learning for me especially the Staff Badge concept which was new to me. Thanks Toby for that.

Not my area of interest so will be posted on the for sale section.

Thanks again

James
