Agreed on both points. Many thanks for directing our attention to them. I'm interested in the fact that the 52nd Lowland Div sign was clearly devised during WW1 even if not worn on uniforms until after the war.

This unit is 36 Coy ASC 1st Divisional Train ASC

I'm actually writing the history of the Company as we speak. When it is finished I promise it will be a great read for you all. I visited all of the areas of operations for the 1st Divisional Train just last year, with Theresa. They were in the Bethune area during 1917 which is correct for this image, as Frenchencourt was an area near to Bethune.
What a fantastic image Jo, thank you ever so much for sharing.

Jo, great photo. The vehicle is a Sunbeam heavy ambulance operated by 628 MT Company ASC and the sign is that of 26 Motor Ambulance Convoy.

Jo, another great photo. I think the "camel" is probably just a mud splatter. The lorry is an American made FWD Model B 4x4 3 tonner.

Same place,different view.

Jo, more great photos. The vehicle is an American made Locomobile and the de-poisoning and sterilising equipment on it was also American, manufactured by a company called Wallace and Tiernan. An interesting piece of kit. Thanks for showing them Jo.
