Liverpool University OTC female cadets stable belt ?
I picked up a stable belt at the Penkridge Fair this morning for next to nothing ( bottom belt in picture ).
On getting home I compared it to the Liverpool University OTC stable belt I already have and whilst it seems to be another LUOTC stable belt it is narrower than the one in my collection. I wonder if it could be specially made for female cadets ? Any thoughts welcome. Thanks P.B.

Peter,
I think you are correct. The Adjutant General's Corps use a similar coloured fabric but fitted with leather buckles for females which is narrower than the male version. See Stablebelts.co.uk Corps post 1992 page Tim

Thanks Tim and Mike,
Well worth the £3 I paid for it. Peter

I think it's an earlier version and not specifically for girls. It's got some age to it. Female UOTC generally wore WRAC belts up to 1992,
Royal Signals belts come in a variety of widths and that has nothing to do with girls. |

Peter the D & D also comes in 2 widths I was told by the regimental museum
That this was due the C.O at that time . The waist belt clasp also comes in 2 size . All shown in my album David |

Thanks Alan and David,
I have come across a number of the wider stable belts for LUOTC before but not the narrow one, the problem is that the reason for the difference may well not be recorded anywhere, still nice to have a variation even if it is just that. Peter
