Default Badge purchased in haste?

I have purchased this MGC cap badge with slider, but since then have seen them made of a heavier gauge metal with lugs, which leads me to think that this is not an original. I would be grateful for opinions and attach some pics.
Thanks,
Peter

This badge is fine with a slider as sliders were the norm. However I would not buy it as an original. The reverse detail is too poor and the slider shape is modern. Sorry.

Thanks Alan,
I purchased it with a medal pair without really looking at the badge. They were not expensive at around £50, and also came with a sweetheart badge which looks to be period, but it is a lesson to be more careful in future.
Thanks,
Peter

I certainly don't think the badge was bought in haste if you were actually buying all the items you mention, a glance at the reverse of that particular badge suggests it is of recent manufacture, but, what of the brooch and the pair, are they also MGC?
If so and if original, I would suggest fifty pounds well spent.

Thanks Frank,
I don't think that it was a bad purchase on the whole, even if the cap badge, which was advertised as original, is a reproduction, since the Sweetheart Badge and medals look to be original to me, though the ribbons are not.
I attach some pics.
Thanks,
Peter
