Default Royal Flying Corps Officer's badge

Hi everyone.

I just picked up this badge and was wondering what your thoughts are on it. From comparing other examples, it looks ok to me... or am I mistaken?

I was curious as the left and right top edges of the F seem to touch the wreath at the top and others I have seen don't.
