SAS Badge - 21 SAS?
Any ideas on whether this is a genuine SAS badge and if so what era? It seems to be well made.
Thanks Richie |

Perfectly good nice original mate. One of my fave patterns. Nice strong colours. I may be wrong, but think late war through to 60s.
Well done bud |

21 pattern
Quote:
The typical 21 Winged Dagger pattern, first worn on the arm as a rectangular patch, then cut to a shield shape (albeit a bit irregular) and moved to the maroon beret, later the sand colour beret. Many old pattern beret badges were produced as rectangular patches and cut to shape, which explains the large number of variations in shape. Nice find and good illustration of handiwork of troopers to shape their beret badge. Cheers, Johan |
