Default Australian awarded 1st Victoria Cross in 40 years - Afghanistan

Hi Guys,

Not badge related but very interesting indeed. The first Victoria Cross awarded to an Australian since 1969.

Trooper Mark Donaldson, VC - (Special Air Service Regiment)

Good job and well deserved. Thanks Mick for passing it on.
Its a crying shame that theres more bl..dy media fuss made about
so-called "celebrities" and the X factor.

I hope it goes to show everyone what good work our troops are doing in Afghanistan (in very challenging conditions).

So do I mate. But you know it won't - except amongst a certain
portion of the population who arn't wrapped up in the fashion and "I want to be a celebrity" area. Ooh I have just broken my fingernail....
Having read the story over a few times, he was very bloody lucky
it wasn't a posthumous award. I assume that he'll get thanked the
same way PC Blakelock did. I'd buy him a few pints. Good egg.
