Default Expressions of interest – new book for Essex cadet units
Fellow collectors,

I have for some while been writing up my research notes for Essex-based army cadet units of all types. I now have well over 100 different units and 100 badges documented from 1859 to date and am contemplating putting it all to print in a similar format to my previous book on the Essex Yeomanry.

I know there have been many calls from members to Alan O to publish his research which I know would be warmly received. I have checked in with him to confirm that this is not cutting across his work.

It is all written up so now I’m at the Rubicon - my question to the group is what level of interest would there be to purchase such a book? It is a complex process and cadets may not attract as much interest as other areas. As with my previous book this one will be not for profit and hopefully a small sum raised for the EY regimental trust, but I need to judge the likely print run and make sure it will cover costs. As a guide I am aiming for a similar price point to last time (~£15 plus P&P)

To give an idea of what it covers, and will look like, I attach a few images.

I forgot the other important bit...! If there is enough interest to go ahead then I hope that they can be ready for Santa to post out in December.
