Default unknown badge for ID

This photo is one of a few that i have recently acquired with a medal group, I will be selling the lot eventually, but in the meantime im trying to work out the cap badge is.

I would greatly appreciate any pointers as so far im drawing a blank.

Ski's and sweaters in the last photo suggest 1943 special forces ski training in Lebanon? Only spanner in the works is the ski caps instead of berets or cap comforters.
