Eton College OTC
Hi,
was the cap badge for Eton College only produced in white metal. I know that in K & K he states that in is in white metal but have come across this badge and it does not look like it is in white metal but brass, I also think that it has lugs on the back not a slider. have looked at Alan O's album and he has a white metal badge but not sure about this one. Any help would be great. Andy |

The Eton badge in my album is bladed. This is almost unique for a School OTC. In 1937 E.Martin stated that that the School's badges were all chromed so they did not need polishing.
A picture of the reverse would help. A |

It has one blade missing rather than being lugged for a split pin. The badge looks right to me despite being the wrong metal. Cadet Corps badges are not well documented so it is either a Cadet Officers bronzed badge or an early version. You might email the School Cadet Force and see if they can help.
