Correct RAF Insignia styles - Wireless Op/Air Gunner 1943
Greetings all!
I am currently trying to put together an impression of my relative's Second World War, RAF uniform. His name was Sergeant Peter Brindley Robinson, and he was shot down and killed on June 23rd 1943, aboard Halifax DK191 I am trying to find which styles of insignia he would've worn at that time in terms of: - Albatross shoulder patches - Air Gunner Badge (padded or un-padded?) - Wireless Operator Badge I understand that there were a range of styles used throughout the war, embroidered badges, printed badges, colour variations even? If anyone can help, indeed maybe even point me in the direction of finding originals, I'd be extremely grateful! Best wishes, Chris |
