I have had these for some time. Not my area but are they fake or OK? Does anyone have an idea when these worn post war?
Cheers in anticipation.

41 Royal Marines Commando formed at Pembroke Dock Oct. 1942. Disbanded 20th January 1946, Borde Hill Camp, Haywards Heath.
Reformed as 41 (Independent) Commando, Royal Marines for the Korean War at Bickleigh Camp, nr. Plymouth, Devon. Disbanded Feb. 1952 and reformed as 41 Commando Royal Marines 1960. Personally I was a member of 41, 1970-72 and am aware that wartime RM's wore the number of their Commando unit as shown in your photo's, but, I thought the actual number was seperate from the main title ... they certainly do look rather newish!

Ritchie.

Richie, thanks for the info. Interesting also the 41 was worn separately. They do look post WW2 interesting that they both have different backs. Anyone help on the French Cdo.
