Default Korean REME brassard and pics

Picked up today, nice bullion title and commonwealth forces badge on brassard with corporals stripes. I also have apic of him wearing it and another showing his low loader named sospan fach as he was Welsh. The pics are dated with descriptions on the reverse. I also have a few cloth badges he had collected from other soldiers during his service.

Very nice, likely Japanese made badges and workmanship.

An odd coloured shoulder title, I'm surprised he got away with it.

Terrific find.

It appears to be similar to the Commonwealth badge and though the wrong shade it is blue. Overseas I would assume that sometimes you made do with what you had and this was allowed by those in power.

Thanks Roy.

Always nice to get an unexpected find and as you say, to get an item and it in wear is really cool IMO and not all that common in my experience.

I managed to add a few more pics of the brassards original wearer from the seller.

Includes one with him and his mate wearing the tankers brassard.

Mike,

perhaps hard to read but at the top of the picture it has written in pen, My Unit Singapore, which means you are of course correct.

That is of course a pretty good clue! I'll pay more attention in future. Mike

A more conventional REME brassard with provenance that arrived today.
I particularly like the Swedish Red Cross Field Hospital tag that belongs with it.

That is excellent - amazing that both items have remained together. Mike

PS. My favourite version of 1 Commonwealth Division sign attached. I think most must have been washed away to nothingness in the dhobi.
