© IWMCOI 341
IWM Synopsis: A documentary that offers a robust justification of National Service at a time when large numbers of British troops were stationed in the Mediterranean and the Far East as well as in West Germany, using the story of one young National Serviceman to illustrate the benefits as well as the responsibilities of army life. http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/it...ect/1060021567

An interesting film, but they have only got about a half of it on this site.
Here is the whole thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3aerP7GyWE

Part of a two DVD set of the same title i.e. 'They Stand Ready' which has some 23 film clips dated from 1946 to 1980. Some are short and some long, but very interesting and cover all three services. A nice stocking filler and only £5.99 from Amazon.
