Default Shipping to the U.K.

I am thinking in the near future of putting some badges etc up for sale here on the forum. Need to thin out a bit.

My quandry is whether the postage to the U.K and your VAT would make it difficult for members to buy? What is the amount of VA tax paid on your end as a percentage of the declared value?

From the few times I have sent items to collectors in the U.K it appears that the least expansive is approx $13.00 U.S for a small package under 1 pound.

Any input will be appreciated.

Jack

The key here is the 'Declared Value', which as we are amongst friends would I am sure be very low.

So if the Declared Value is "properly managed" it would make a transaction more appealing?

Exactly.

I ship badges to countries such as the US regularly. For us here using Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed (including insurance upto £50) costs about £9 - £10, depending on weight. It then costs upto about £12 to up the insurance to the maximum of £250.

That should give you some comparisons when using USPS.

regards
