Default New Book - Special Constabulary Badges of England & Wales

Just giving this a "bump" under the new "Home Front" section. Still a few copies left.

A new book has just been published entitled "Special Constabulary Badges of England & Wales". Softback. A4 size. 138 pages depicting over 750 colour photos of Special Constabulary badges from the Great War to the present day. Plus 38 black and white period photos featuring members of the Special Constabulary. The book has been privately published and is of a limited print run. For anyone interested the price is £25 per copy. This is inclusive of UK postage. Payment via PAYPAL (family & friends). PM me if you would like a copy.

Dave.

Just received my copy, if you collect or are interested in Police badges then you should get this book.

Are you going to do a book covering Ireland?

Hi Phil,

I don't think there would be enough material (badges) to justify a book. For example, I'm only aware of one custom specific SC lapel badge for Ireland (Tyrone SC), so it would not really be cost effective. Even including all the RIC/RUC/Garda items etc. it still would be a fairly thin publication. There are two other possibilities for similar books. Firstly, badges of the Met. Police and another on UK Non-Home Dept. police force badges. I'll keep you posted if there is any firm movement on those.

Dave.
