Default Cheshire economy issue

Good afternoon

I have two Cheshire economy badges 1916 pattern. One is of the usual type. This is I think also a recognised pattern. Some think that it is correct and others think that this type is incorrect. It is slightly rougher where the star joins the scroll.

Just interested to know if anyone can tell me more about this badge. It certainly looks old and displays what looks like natural service use wear.

Many thanks

Martyn

A nice genuine badge in my opinion.

Many thanks. It's very solid. Bending is impossible so if it's a fake it's not an early one.

Regards

Both badges are from the same die. Notice the line above the R and how the first E touches the rim of the scroll. They also have the same die flaw at 5 o’clock where the star joins the scroll.

Cheers,
Luke

Hi Luke. It's photographs of one badge just at different angles but well spotted. I didn't post pics of the other badge as that one is a typical example.

My fault. I should have stated that in the first post.
