Default Middlesex Boer War ?

Hi guys I'm wondering if this is a Middlesex Boer War slouch hat badge ?
Any help would be appreciated.

I think it is rather older than that, are those brass plated lugs?

Hi Malc
This is in fact an ORs 57th Foot PT collar badge 1874-1881 period. Quite scarce and very desirable. Regards Jeff
