Default Enamel repair test

I’ve been making enquiries recently about who to trust / go to for enamel repairs for very small detailed jobs - such as the shamrock on an Irish Guards Officers / WOs Star.
Seeing as the price was right, I’ve bought this badge from Endici as a Guinea Pig and will be sending it off for repair. I will of course update you with an image upon its return - sharing the details of the business too, should the works be satisfactory.

I was quoted £50 an hour plus materials etc, an hour won't give you much as it can take more than that to select the matching colours and a realistic price was 150+ to fix a cap badge properly, I was told.

I was tempted on that one Sean, but left it as it had no Makers Mark. A genuine cap star though. I buy from Endici, i believe he is a good " dealer " IMHO.

At £45 I thought it was time to buy it Andy. Let’s see how it looks after a repair. Endici has been good to me too, no complaints!

Discounted star from Endici.
Shamrock re-coloured.
I used green Translucent stained glass paint and a very thin brush.
Highly magnified here. To the naked eye it looks superb (if I don’t say so myself).
The professional enamel company quoted me silly when they saw it, so I had a go myself. What you you think?
Kind regards,
Sean
