AIF. 8th Australian Division in Malaya

3 Australian Infantry Bn's that served in Malaya as part of the 8th Division.

2/18 Bn, Purple/Green. NSW
2/20 Bn, White/Green. NSW
2/29 Bn, Yellow/Black. VIC

The 8th Division seeing heavy fighting in Malaya and Singapore. Most members of the division became prisoners of war, and a large number of these died in captivity. A real tough bunch.

Would these signs have been worn on the Jacket or Pugaree of the slouch hat?

On both Jack. In Malaya they wore KD from what I can see but the SD jackets were worn in Australia.
