Default South Staffordshire cadet

This looks like one cadet corporal giving instructions to another cadet on how to use the Thompson M1928A1 sub machine gun.

The chap in the helmet is a regular or TF soldier as cadets were not issued helmets and certainly did not have Thompsons in their possession.

The photo probably dates about 1940 hence the gas mask case and 37 pattern webbing which cadets did not have either.
