Default Soldiers In Jamestown

Hi Gents,

I recently posted these two photographs on the ABW forum but thought they were interesting enough to share here also.

So two lovely Boer War period cabinet card photographs showing two groups of soldiers. The photographer is the same for both images - R.L. Johnson of Jamestown (presumably the location of the subjects - or there abouts).

By their uniforms and equipment the two groups look like they could be from the same unit. Sadly no clear shots of insignia, just some faint side views of a patch on the side of the helmet/slouchy.

If any specific area is of interest and you want me to zoom in, just shout out?

Hope there are of interest.

Cheerio,

Roy
