Smile Great Friends..

Hi Gents,

Being out here in the South West of America any connection I have with the old county, collecting British militaria and friends/fellow collectors is almost exclusively via the internet and email. I often see the term 'keyboard collector' used in a negative way but I'm afraid that is my reality, no longer being able to trawl the local antique shops in Shrewsbury or get to the militaria shows in Birmingham etc.

That said there are some really terrific chaps in this passion of ours and I have made some really wonderful friends too. The two little beauties you see in the adjacent photo arrived a few days ago as a gift from just such a friend.

In this day and age that seems so chaotic, acts of generosity go a long way to keeping one sane and realizing that despite all the horrible things that are happening in the world, there are still good people and good friends out there.

My most sincere gratitude to my dear friend (mentioning no names) that was kind enough to mail these to me here in the US.

A good day

Cheerio,

Roy

Well done, Roy, and good on your mystery benefactor.

It never ceases to impress me how generous and kind-hearted so many of our forum friends are in making such gestures.
