Sergeant's Stripes Unusual construction
These stripes are sewn to a 1949 pattern BD badged to 2nd Suffolks serving with 2nd Division in BAOR in the 1950s. I have not seen any like these before - the individual stripes are more openly spaced than normal and the backing is a caramel brown.
Any thoughts? Jon |

Any chance they're Rhodesian / South African?

They are on a British BD so seems unlikely. But never say never in the badge world!

I was thinking more in terms of the blouse being "promoted" at a later date.
