Default Small Cast Highland Cyclist Battalion

I bought this online to use as a comparison, however on arrival it was half the size I was expecting!

Any thoughts to why produce a half sized badge?

Very nicely die cast in white-metal.

Sporran badge perhaps ?

P.B.

( and yes the idea of Cyclists wearing sporrans sounds crazy but I am sure I have heard of sporrans for the HCB before )

Andy,

I had something similar some time ago:

http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...hland+cyclists

and whilst it was not identified here on the Forum I am pretty sure it did in fact turn out to be a Highland Cyclists sporran badge.

Peter

Not on one of the most knowledgeable sites, but this is interesting:

Here is an original die struck example, two long lugs North & South.
The two short lugs on the cast copies would not fit the cantle.
Ron.

Ooooh! Riding a bicycle with nothing under the kilt. Enough to get you right in the Trossachs!
