Mike, these are quite different to the AA, Silver plated & bullion versions of the Welsh Brigade which have a single feather between the two parts of the ich dien scroll, whereas the thread starter has three feathers and quite different scroll placement

OK Jerry,the AA are cap badges as far as I'm aware. Regimental collar badges were worn by ORs within the Brigade.

May be that Churchills book Infantry Collars published in 2001 has out of date info on Rangers collars but in the book he has it as a collar.
