I saw this on ebay and thought forum members should have the benefit of this explanation.
*Re-strikes are additional runs of badges often from the original manufactures over and above the requirements of outfitters or the regiment - not copies made by others, often outside the UK. Now you all know . . ! Rob |

What's wrong with that statement? Apart from the outside of the UK part perhaps?
IMHO, folks on the forum use the terms below interchangeably when they all have different meanings.
