I think I first saw that photograph in the late 1950s as part of the excellent King's Liverpool Regiment display in the (old) Liverpool City Museum. Can anyone confirm?
Tim

Tim,
I think you probably did. I seem to recall the picture in the centre of a display. In my opinion the displays in the Kings Regiment collection have become progressively poorer since the display in the old Museum ( behind St. Georges Hall and next to the Walker Art Gallery ). The display in the Dock offices on the waterfront were the start of the touchy feeley type of display and I wont comment on the latest incarnation at the new Liverpool Museum , the 4th ( dis ) Grace except to say I am not the only one to think you need a torch to see some of the exhibits clearly. Peter
