Default Unknown Boer War/WW1 Titles

Hi, these titles were amongst a group of Boer War and WW1 Titles I recently picked up. They are most likely South African, but not for sure. Can anyone please help me to ID them? Have a grand day. Andrew

Hi Andrew,
1 and 7 may not be military.

1 could be Cape Divisional Council (early municipal workers cape badge)
7 looks like Metropolitan Fire Brigade (also Cape Town related). I have one similar as worn by my great grandfather who was a fireman in the MFB 1920 - 1955

Regards
Steven

Hi Steven, thank you for your input. I have been scratching and have found there appear to have been 15 Bn's Coast Defence Corps. This could also be a possibility. The hunt continues. Regards Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I believe No 3, TTC, is Tasmanian Torpedo Corps 1887-1890s.

Hi Andrew, yes, Dress Regulations for the Tasmanian Defence Force 1887. Replaced TE shown in the previous year's dress regulations due to the change in name of the corps in the meantime.

Construction, shape, etc, conforms to the example I previously had.

6 - CLVR could be the City of London Volunteer Regiment.

Is 7 MFB or MEB? if the latter, perhaps the Mines Engineering Brigade (SA WW2)?

Would 'Transvaal [Tram] Corporation' or something like it make more sense than 'Tasmanian ...', given the SA nature of the collection?

Hi Peter,
I could be mistaken, but as far as I am aware there was not a Transvaal Tram Corporation. The trams ran under the municipalities, so we had a 'Johannesburg Municipal Tramways'
