Default Group of Indian/Pakistani Officers.

© IWM (Q 15090B) Group of Indian/Pakistani origins officers, possibly of the 3rd Battalion, 153th Rifle Regiment. Left to right - Jemadar Bega Ram, Subedar Ali Hussain, Subedar Major Mubarik Ali, Jemadar Sayed Pir.

Would anyone have an image of the 153rd insignia ( 1918 - 1922 )

Those walking sticks - till when generally ?
( Seen a 1970's pic of some Pakistan / India offrs in uniform with w. sticks )

It is a bit strange imho to have the expression "Group of Indian/Pakistani Officers." in the title (and on other places) of this thread. In 1918-22 there was no Pakistan in sight. The word being coined for the region in 1933 (according to Wikipedia) and the state (and thus any officers of it's army) only starting life in 1947.

Hello Henk, to answer your comment, I go by what the person in charge of the photo dept. at the IWM has written,at the time, as a description linked to the photo.As to when the description was written,well,that's another story. And another point, the photo is WW1-era so we could ask when the description was written.
