Default Unidentified Wings. Probably spurious, but...

Hi all!

Its that time of year when I sort through the 'odds box'!

I came across the two badges in the attached photo. I remember being given this soon after I started collecting some 35 years ago and they were relegated to the odds box almost immediately as being spurious badges probably taken off of a 1960's/70's child's jacket or coat.

But, just before they descend from the odds box to the bin I thought it might be prudent to just double check!

Looking forward to your replies.

Thanks, as always, Shawn

I'd tend to agree: fashion item. Close enough to military to look 'cool' without really annoying anyone by being too close to real examples.

The stitching is pretty poor, as can be seen in the photo, and the material pretty thin, but, like you say Peter, close enough to look cool!

ARVN wore something similar..... not suggesting it's right, I certainly have a couple of spurious RAF type wings that were from kids jackets somewhere, but it is a possibility, the ARVN badges are not the best made.....
