SSF band capbadge
I am looking to compare this SSF cap badge with others, it seems very heavy and thick compared to others I have owned over the years. If anyone has one in their collection please compare it, the lugs also are different, like a D lug almost.

Mike, it looks very similar to the one I have in my collection. How thick is thick? Mine averages out at about a shade over 2 mm, and is stamped in the same place. The lugs look the same to my eye. Is yours slighted convex on the front? It is hard to tell from the photo. If it is flat, it may be a later production, before the change to the bear in the arrow head. I'd wager it's a good one. My thoughts for what it's worth.

Mike's post leads to another question, which I was too oblique about in my first post. Is there more than one maker of the SSF Band badges? And, as Ian and Mike lead to, is there differences if more than one pattern exists?
