Default Canadian military to review uniforms, badges, ceremonies to ensure it is welcoming to

This came out last month, I am surprised there has been no discussion on the Forum.

What is Questioning and 2-Spirited please? I know we've gone over the top downunder here in Australia with PC but I hadn't heard those terms before.

Keith, questioning is one unsure of one's sexual preference/orientation, and Two Spirited is (from wiki): refers to a person who has both a masculine and a feminine spirit, and is used by some First Nations people to describe their sexual, gender and/or spiritual identity.

Add "First Nations" to the list of unknowns.

First Nations is the term the indigenous people apply to themselves and prefer to be called. (aka Indians)

The Canadian (and Australian) military are good fun careers these days.

Back when I were a lad, the Master at Arms would wake us up before we went to bed, beat us to death and send us off to work in the bilges 25 hours a day, cleaning dead fish, for sixpence a week, then give us a bit of soggy newspaper to suck on for our tea . . . and, we weren't allowed to wear dresses . . . except on special occasions.

Things don't always change for the better.

Lawrence
