Default 40 (AD) RAASC DZ patch?

Good afternoon

It has been nearly two years since I last attended the local car boot sale - and going by this morning it’ll probably be another two years before I go back. I thought, however, that my only purchase might be of interest: from looking online I’m thinking this is a DZ patch for “40 (Air Dispatch) Platoon Royal Australian Army Service Corps” dating from the 1960s - early 70s? As can be seen it has been cut from a shirt/flight suit/coverall in a grey-green material, and measures 3 x 3 14 inches. Any additional information would be, as always, greatly appreciated.

Caveat: once ID is confirmed/corrected it will be offered for swap or sale, initially on the Forum.

Thanks for looking

Graham

Hello Graham

You are spot on with your identification of the patch. Very hard patch to find.

I am sure a few Australian collectors will be after that if you put it up for sale.
