Default Economy or fake?

I'd really appreciate opinions on these "economy" badges. The East Lancs and Middlesex badges have quite a coppery colour to them. The others are more yellow in colour. The Border badge has lugs so shouldn't be an economy version, but the dragon at the centre has been polished out of existence, which seems unusual for a fake. Thanks for your help with these.

Smile Middlesex badge

i think your Middlesex badge started life as an OSD collar badge and has had a slider put on it, the bronze finish has been cleaned off.

There never was a Border Regiment economy badge, yours could either be a fake or an officers service dress collar badge. Better pics might help.

Thanks Rob. Does this look like a genuine standard issue NF badge for the period or a fake?

Hi Eperitus
I think the ones not mentioned so far, East Lancs on this period badge the slider should be lower set starting at the center of the Sphinx. The other two East Surrey's and Inniskilling's would be the shape and size of slider, I'd expect a slightly longer more tapered type, happy to be told different if any one more in the know can confirm for you

Default Northumberland Fusiliers

The Northumberland Fusiliers looks OK to me from the screen image, more detailed pics may show different.

That is the only one that is not a fake and like Rob I would need to see better photos as they have been widely copied. It is not an economy as the badge was sealed in all brass in 1896.
