Default British Troops Sharjah BTS

I am seeking some help in understanding fully what the term
British Troops Sharjah (BTS) means.

Is it just a general term for any British unit that was posted for a tour in Sharjah like a squadron of armoured cars, or could it be for a unit on exercise in the area? Was it an official term?

Any help much appreciated

Default BTS

If my memory serves me correctly BTS covered all British Army personnel based at RAF Sharjah. These consisted of an infantry battalion and units of RAC, RA, RE, RSigs, RCT, RAOC, RPC and 22SAS.
