I'd start researching at the museum representing the SD&Gs, if that fails, get their war diary and note the different Dutch towns they were in and send that info to the Dutch image research sites to narrow their options down considerably. I'd work backwards from the liberation, everything looks too well scrubbed compared to wartime pics. The chap in the glengarry might be of a different unit just posing with the .50 for the photo or perhaps a piper of the same unit?
Those houses could be in any suburb in the Netherlands.
