Yes, I've learned a bit about Lambourne's over the years.
Firstly, I now know that L did nor produice / mark any (8th Irish Bn Kings) badge from 1939 because the National Archives do not have them in their list of 1939-46 lists !
although I know about regular BM badges appearing with LAMBOURNE’S / BIRMINGHAM and withLAMBOURNE & Co / BIRMINGHAM - I now know that there is a KLR 5th Bn with LAMBOURNE’S / BIRMINGHAM - which I'm still kicking myself for not biodding more !!!!!!
What I don't yet know is whether there is a LAMBOURNE’S / BIRMINGHAM version for te 6th (Rifle) Bn KLR ! ????
That said, I'm still in the dark as to when L went out of busines - I'd apreciate anyone near Cardiff (Comp Ho) finding out !
