1st DLI served in 10th Indian Infantry Brigade which was part of 10th Indian Division from 1942 to the end of the war apart from ten days in July 1944 when the Brigade served with 4th Indian Division.
This does not seem long enough to have worn the 4th's sign but probably long enough to pick one up as a souvenir.
