Default POW AIRBORNE BERET

Got this 1945 KANGOL beret today ...I could not understand why it had a WO Class 2 Badge on it and after looking under the badge saw that it has been on the beret for a very long time.
I have the book British Airborne Headdress and on page 42 I think I found the answer...It was POW used by a non Airborne soldier in a POW camp as per the photo ..the soldiers put on various badges not conforming to the regulations.
This beret came with a AAC beret which I will post seperate
