Hi Thomas, you're quite right and I had no intention of buying them. I'm doing some personal research into fake maker's marks on British made badges where, generally speaking, there are pretty clear 'tells' when a mark is wrong which have been much discussed on the forum. I suppose my question is really - are those 2 marks 'right' (on the TIPTAFT and AMOR SYDNEY rising suns)? If they are indistinguishable from the real thing, but the 2 badges are 'wrong', that would be a very worrying thing. But if those 2 badges are the real thing, just in very bad company, that would be a different matter. Best regards, Mike.
ps I have a small collection of rising suns and like to pick them up when I can. I'd always assumed maker's marks were good. That's why it worries me. Mike
