The mind boggles!

Mind you ... talking about time travellers ... it always baffles me how 'wee Wattie' Admiral Sir Walter Cowan was awarded a bar to his DSO with the Commandos in the Middle East, having won his first DSO in the Omdurman Campaign of 1898 - a real character! Naval liaison Officer No.8 Cdo, later POW, repatriated, rejoined Cdo forces as Tom Churchill's Liaison Officer. All this after eventful WW1 experiences too - Jutland etc, and having retired aged 60 in 1931.
